Well, it’s looks like I’m down to a bucket every five days.
I’m getting pretty good with my 7 iron.
I got a big bucket. Whacked it pretty consistently.

So I flew up to SF today to do Wii Fight Club and hang out with Irina and Kevin.
Wii Fight Club was hot – won my first two fights, lost my next two. Embarrassingly.
Then went to hang with Kevin — OMG. Bar was so crowded. Couldn’t bear it. Left early and went to this posh, posh apartment that Irina set me up with.

Before I flew up I picked up a small bucket at Birch Hills near my folks.
It was insane there as well.
Tons of guys just drinking beeer and being really loud. Kids running amok.
I’m a curmudgeon I guess. I like it peaceful and quiet.
I get stressed out if it’s not.
Someone called me old for this — but I’ve always been this way. I don’t like to go out and party, I like to stay in and either be creative, or just veg. Sometimes veg while being creative.
It was nice ot see everyone up here.

So I haven’t been blogging. I get I’m a jerk, but I have been continuing to hit some balls. Just not as daily as I’d like.
I’ve been sick…
It’s been crappy weather.
Okay, well, I forgive me myself.
Since my last entry, I’ve hit 550 balls-ish, developed what I call my T-rex arms style, and hosted a Golf Podcast.
So much to cover, I don’t know where to start. First and foremost, I’ve been sick for a while and I think I’ve finally kicked it after two and half rounds of antibiotics. I just kept not getting enough rest and I wouldn’t ever recover fully.
I’ve been taking it easy this week and really forcing myself to sleep longer than I would like.
I hit Whittsett a few times and Golf Land too. I’ve been trying to make up for the lack of consistency by hitting more balls each time. Sort of the golfers equivalant of quality time.
I’m doing T-Rex arms, which means I’ve shorten my arms into my body like a trex. Seems to work okay.
I need to get lessons going, but I’ve been putting them off until I’m a brazillionaire, or March. Whichever comes first.
Douglas and I have been getting a lot of good work done in the last few weeks. We’ve got a fun take on what an Ask A Ninja movie would look like and we’re developing several new projects for film and the web.
I just had my birthday last night. It was a good hang with my folks, my Aunt and Uncle, and two of my cousins. We went to Lawry’s. It’s got a pretty specific menu — Prime Rib. It was good convo, good food, and someone else paid the tab (thanks everyone).
That’s about it — I’m flirting with getting organized. I spoke with a professional organizer and met Merlin Mann of 43folders.com and bought the book Getting Things Done, but I still haven’t done much on that front. Soon, soon.

Sorry for the delay in updates.
Douglas and I had a hectic end of the week.
On Thursday we started with being interviewed by Forbes.com in a video interview. We went to one of those video conferencing companies. They had two big TVs, one with us on it and one with the person interviewing us. Each TV had a camera on top that you could control with a remote.
The interview was fairly painless, and then the Ninja showed up and got interviewed too.
We grabbed lunch at the historic Apple Pan. They are so hardcore that when you get a burger, you don’t get a plate. We actually opened up the place at 11am.
We then hit Rancho for Nine holes on their executive course. It took me until the fourth hole for me to find my swing. I actually got a par on one hole, and I totally lost all mojo and concentration on 8, barely recovering on 9.
After that D and I set up and shot the most expensive thing we’ve ever done for the Ninja. It’s a parody of the OK GO treadmill bit. It will be in next week’s ep.
I was an especially long day because my hypoglycemia was acting up and I was grumpy all day.
On Friday we started with a Hollywood meeting. Nice people. It was my first opportunity to be on the Fox Studio lot.
We had another big business phone call and then we met with our manager and agent about what we’re going to do next.
I went to Majestic after we were done with all that and hit two buckets worth. Some good hacks, but mostly slicing.

I wanted to go back and see if I could get some muscle memory. It was okay, but I wasn’t in the zone like I was this morning. Such is life.
Good session with Douglas today. We’ve been writing a lot. I’ve got some work to do on some scripts tonight.

I had a great day today. My swing was natural and true.
I figured out that my left arm was sorta getting lost. I was powering everything through my right arm, my trailing arm. So I was pushing the club.
Today I focused on keeping my left arm straight and engaged and gently pulling the club. And it worked. Still using the wider stance.
I’m over with Douglas writing. We’re having a lot of meetings with Hollywood types recently, so we’ve been developing new ideas that we can sell to them.
It’s fun. We get to break out of the ninja thing for a bit. But the great thing is we’re getting to the point where what we do on the Ninja is just pure fun for us.

So I called up the golf instructor, let’s call him Yoda G. He teaches about 25 mils away from me. Seemed like a nice guy.
Only problem is that it’s golf attire, or I can’t wear jeans on the course. Hmm. I guess I need to upgrade the trousers.
I got an Ask A Ninja Golf Shirt for Christmas from Douglas’s brother Bill, so I can wear that, but I’d better get some golf shoes too and another shirt or five.
Douglas and I had a good day writing. We’re working on a very silly new series. I’m excited about it because it’s going to be a comedy action thing, with a ton of Internet/geek jokes. And it’ll allow me to direct a little more and play with camera angles and narrative form.
I’ll give you more info when the time comes.
It’s sorta weird making calls like that — you know it’s going to change your life a little. Now I’m involving someone else on my journey into golf. Now someone else is going to know how bad I really am. But it’s a start of a new era. Hopefully he’ll reach in and start fixing all of the bad, bad things going on with my swing and unleash the monster hitter that is somewhere buried deep inside of me.
